Although no one won the $211 million Powerball jackpot in Saturday’s drawing, there was only one $1 million winner, the winning ticket sold at a Kroger branch in Houston.
The lucky one has not yet come forward to claim his prize, but he has already entered the list of Lottery winners.
According to the Texas Lottery, a $1 million dollar ticket was sold for the drawing held on Saturday, May 27. The lucky ticket was issued at a Kroger store, located at North Eldridge Parkway and West Little York Road, near the Jersey Village area of Houston.
The winner has a period of 180 days to claim the prize, after the drawing is carried out, highlights the Texas Lottery page.
Sole winner of $1 million dollars
According to official information, there is only one million-dollar winner from the Powerball draw on the weekend before Memorial Day, where there were also 13 $200-dollar winners and another 25 who got $100.
The draw was held last Saturday, where the Powerball jackpot was 211 million. The winning numbers were: 24 38 39 48 56 4 and the power play was 2.
Increase the Powerball prize to $226 million dollars
But since there was no winner, the updated figure is now 226 million, notes the Texas Lottery.
Earlier this month another Texan resident joined the list of lottery winners by getting $7.5 million with a ticket he bought at One World Grocery in upstate.
According to the updated information, the winner has not yet gone to the Lottery facilities to claim their prize.
“A ticket is not a valid winning ticket until it is presented for payment and meets the Commission’s validation requirements,” highlights the official page of the Texas Lottery.
