A shooting at an illegal rally of motorcycle gangs in New Mexico left three dead, according to police reports reviewed by the news portal Fox News. A man was arrested and charged with a murder charge after the incident.
The man was identified as 30-year-old Jacob David Castillo, who was also injured during the incident and is currently hospitalized. Once he is released, he will be sent to the Taos County Detention Center.
Another person identified as Matthew Charles Jackson, 39, of Austin, Texas, was also arrested for carrying a firearm at a liquor store.
The victims were identified as:
– Anthony Silva, 26 years old and from the Los Lunas sector.
– Damian Breaux, 46, of Socorro.
– Randy Sanchez, 46, from Albuquerque.
According to Fox News, the authorities reported this Sunday that the deceased were members of rival gangs, and that the shooting occurred due to an altercation they had in Albuquerque.
Specifically, all those involved were identified as presumed members of criminal motorcycle gangs.
According to information from the Associated Press, the shooting involved gangs known as the Bandidos and the Waterdogs.
During the incident, several people were injured. Among them, Christopher Garcia, 41 years old and from Texas, who was arrested for possession of cocaine and will be sent to a detention center once he is released from the medical center where he is being treated.
In total, six people were injured, and their state of health is unknown at this time. Their identity has not been revealed so far, although it has not yet been ruled out that they are accused of crimes.
The event occurred during the Annual Motorized Rally for the Fallen this Saturday in the town of Red River, New Mexico. According to Fox News, state police indicated that the shooting was reported around 5:00 PM on Main Street.
