Urachi F. Romero (“Reggie”) assured that he did not steal the $2 billion Powerball winning ticket in California and that the ticket belongs to his landlord José Rivera, who filed a lawsuit against Edwin Castro and against him for alleged fraud.

More than two months after the lawsuit filed by Rivera against Romero, Castro and the California Lottery was revealed, he said in an interview that he had nothing to do with the alleged theft of the document.

Speaking to the New York Post on Saturday, Romero alleged that Rivera showed him the ticket he had purchased at Joe’s Service Center in Altadena on Nov. 7, the night before the drawing.
