kylian-mbappe-surprises-lionel-messi-and-sends-him-a-powerful-message-after-winning-the-mvp-of-ligue-1

The French footballer and main figure of Paris Saint Germain (PSG), Kylian Mbappé, showed that he remains one of the great figures of the future by receiving the Ligue 1 Most Valuable Player award from the Union of Professional Footballers of France (UNFP) this Monday.

A curious fact is that the ceremony was not attended by the Argentine striker and also a PSG figure, Lionel Messi, who traveled to the city of Barcelona to be present at the concert of the rock band Coldplay; Despite this absence, the young French striker remembered the current world champion after receiving the award as the MVP of the European tournament.

This was the fourth time in Kylian Mbappé’s career that he has received the award (four times in a row) and during his thank you speech he mentioned Messi for all the support and knowledge he has given him since he arrived at the club; ‘La Pulga’ ended up integrating the ideal team of the season along with other great figures such as Donatello, Nuno Mendes and Achraf Hakimi.

“I would like to congratulate Lens who had an excellent season. Also to Jonathan David and Leo (Messi), who helped me a lot. It’s a privilege to play with players like that at PSG. I would like to thank the staff, everyone who allows us to keep winning. This record is a pleasure, I always wanted to leave my name in the history of this championship”, expressed Mbappé.

“I’m very happy. I will continue here next season ”, the French striker concluded by denying the rumors that again link him to the possible signing of him with the Spanish Real Madrid for the next season of international football.

Kylian Mbappé managed to beat the rival goals 28 times during the 2023 season to establish himself as the top scorer in the French championship; Messi ended up leading the assist table by generating 16 scoring chances (11 of these were precisely for Mbappé himself).

“We have been able to win the title and for this I want to thank all the footballers, the staff, the presidency and all the people behind the scenes, be it medical personnel, delegates, administrative personnel and all those who allow us to be in the best conditions to be able to continue winning, which is something very difficult”, he concluded.
