The relatives of Nikki Alcaraz, missing since the beginning of the month in the middle of a road trip (road trip) with her boyfriend whose destination was southern California, fear that the Hispanic is in danger.
Alcaraz, 33, left Tennessee with her partner Stephen Tyler Stratton earlier this month in a black Jeep Wrangler.
On May 12, he was supposed to arrive at his uncle’s house in Orange County. Two weeks after that date, authorities continue to search for the couple.
The family’s fears were heightened after reports surfaced that they clashed in a violent altercation mid-journey.
The woman’s cousin, identified as Lonnie Alcaraz, revealed that the couple got into a fight while in New Mexico on May 4.
A police report includes a photo of Alcaraz with a black eye and bruises on his arm. A witness testified that Stratton punched him in the face. The official report indicates that Stratton also claimed to have been beaten.
“There was a trucker who saw her on the side of the road being beaten by who we later learned was her boyfriend,” the relative told NBC.
“They took her to the hospital and a family friend that they know came from Orange County to help her,” he added.
Both declined to press charges and left the station separately.
After this incident, a family friend offered to take Alcaraz to California, but the woman insisted that she needed to find her boyfriend. The meeting would have materialized on May 6.
That same day, a license plate reader recognized the Jeep near Flagstaff, Arizona. The Police do not have the woman’s telephone records, since the cell phone apparently does not work.
request for help
The Cheatham County Sheriff, outside Nashville, Tennessee, asked the public for help in locating the woman.
The 2013 Jeep Wrangler features a Tennessee license plate TN U7272G and a bumper sticker reading “Mama Tired.”
The Hispanic woman has two children who were not traveling with her at the time of the events.

The national attention that this case is receiving is close to that of Gabby Petito due to the similarities between the two.
2 years ago, 22-year-old Petito was found dead after going missing on a road trip with her boyfriend Brian Laundrie.
As part of the reports, it also emerged that both had an argument in which Petito was beaten.
Laundrie, who was on the run, committed suicide by shooting himself in the head, an autopsy confirmed in January last year.
