During a shooting in South Carolina on Memorial Day, one person was killed and five were injured, according to Charleston County authorities.

The shooting happened around 9:50 p.m. in Hollywood, a town 20 miles from Charleston, according to officials with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office.

According to information from WCSC-TV, the shooting occurred near a nightclub.

At that time, police officials found six victims of gunshot wounds, according to information from the Associated Press.

Officials said one person was found dead inside a vehicle at the crime scene. The other five victims were taken to local hospitals. Until now, his injuries are not considered serious or fatal, according to the Associated Press.

So far, the victims have not been identified, and no arrests have been made. Authorities are trying to determine what led to the shooting.

The Sheriff’s office indicated, according to a CBS review, that a neighborhood party was reported two hours before the event, but no type of illegal activity was recorded at the scene.

On May 11, another shooting took place in North Charleston, in which a person, identified as Richard A. Owen IV, was killed. At that time, the shooter was identified as 19-year-old Sean David Lavelle Jr.
