Sia revealed during an interview with ‘Rob Has a Podcast’ that she has autism and that it took her many years to discover her diagnosis, as she was unaware of this disorder.
The famous singer commented that she is currently in recovery and that she has learned to know herself, something that she had never done at 47 years of age.
“I’m on the spectrum and I’m in recovery and stuff, there’s a lot of things,” he said.
“For 45 years, I thought… ‘I have to go put on my human suit. And just in the last two years I’ve fully come back to myself,” she added.
According to Medline, autism spectrum disorder is a neurological condition that appears from 18 months of life. It can affect the behavior of the person, their interaction with others and their communication and learning are different.
Two years ago Sia was criticized for casting actress Maddie Zeglier to play an autistic girl instead of casting a person with the disorder for the movie “Music.”
