A North Carolina woman, motivated by her brother, managed to pocket a $216,817 prize by playing just three times in the popular ‘Cash 5’ lottery draw.
Aurelia Heiple, of the city of Kinston, told North Carolina Education Lottery officials that she purchased her ticket for the Cash 5 drawing on May 19 at a Murphy Express store located on West Vernon Avenue in kinston.
Then a few days later, he came back to check the results.
Heiple said she was overjoyed in the store when she found out she had won a $216,817 jackpot.
“I was screaming and jumping. She didn’t know I could move like that.”
She said the entire store joined in her celebration. “Everyone was clapping and congratulating me,” said the lucky winner, according to UPI.
Heiple said that it only recently started playing Cash 5 draws.
“I never played Cash 5 until my brother made me play. This was only the third time I played,” the woman said.
The winner said she plans to use her new fortune to buy a Chevrolet Camaro and make some investments.
