kentucky-zoo-orangutan-asks-visitor-to-show-her-baby;-her-incredible-reaction-has-gone-viral

A tender moment starring an orangutan from the Louisville Zoo, in Kentucky, has been immortalized on video and in the last few hours it has gone viral on social networks, as it shows the tender gesture that the animal had with a visitor and her baby.

The video was originally shared on TikTok by a user identified as Kaylaa. This shows the exact moment in which the orangutan approaches the glass that separates its habitat from the site where the visitors are and fixes its gaze on a woman who is carrying her baby.

The orangutan strongly touches the glass with its fingers to attract the attention of this mother, who perfectly understood that the primate wanted to see her little one, so she decides to come closer to show her son who is a few months old.

The animal sticks to the glass to see the baby in detail, who stares at it to the astonishment of the rest of the visitors. In fact, it looks like he’s smelling it; seconds later, he walks away from the glass having accomplished the objective.

The video already has more than 5 million views and some Internet users indicated that the animal is usually very friendly with zoo visitors, as can be seen in another video uploaded to TikTok by user Shalena Hittle, who had a similar experience with her newborn baby, which the orangutan also wanted to see up close.

Other things that usually attract the attention of this primate are painted nails, glitter accessories, and even the backpacks that visitors carry draw their attention.

Social network users have filled the video with comments highlighting the orangutan’s request, but have also questioned whether it is in captivity.
