man-won-lottery-prize-that-will-give-him-$250,000-a-year-for-30-years

A man from the city of Arlington, Texas, has won a $7.5 million prize in a state lottery drawing. The winner had to make a decision: collect the full money, but in annual payments; or collect a smaller sum in a single payment.

The player decided to receive his new fortune in annual payments, so he will receive $250,000 annually for 30 years.

The man won with a Texas Lotto game ticket in the May 17 drawing, Yahoo reported.

The lucky winner chose the six numbers that corresponded to those chosen in the draw: 5, 13, 22, 29, 37, 48.

The ticket purchase was made at a store called One World Grocery.

The player decided to keep his identity a secret, telling lottery authorities that he plans to use his new fortune to retire and travel.

“I called my best friend, cried and wished my late wife was here to be a part of this,” the winner said, according to the lottery commission.
