maryland-man-makes-a-mistake-when-buying-a-lottery-scratch-off-and-wins-$50,000-thanks-to-it

A man thought he had made a mistake buying two lottery scratch-offs when he really wanted just one. However, this mistake turned into a great success, since the extra ticket that he took turned out to have a prize of $50,000 dollars.

The 40-year-old Beltsville resident told Maryland Lottery authorities that he bought his two lottery tickets at a 7-Eleven store on Old Columbia Pike.

The man intended to take a single $20 ticket from the ‘Hot 777’ game, but accidentally took two of them.

He probably never imagined that this was the best thing that could have happened to him, since the ticket he took the most ended up giving him a prize of $50,000.

The lucky winner said that he and his wife plan to use the money to pay off their debts.
