Luck has smiled in recent days on a single mother from Pennsylvania, who has seen how several of her financial problems have been solved thanks to the fact that she won $1 million dollars with a lottery scratch-off.
The woman, named Diane Babbin, is the mother of 2 teenagers, and on April 28 she asked her mother to go to the pharmacy to buy a thermometer because one of her children was sick, and in passing she brought her a scrap of lottery.
The mother complied with Diane’s request and purchased a ticket to the “Millionaire Maker” game. The two usually play together, but that day, the woman felt the need to scratch the ticket while she was in the car, discovering the good news about her.
Babbin’s mother called her daughter on the phone and asked her to go for her, since she could not drive, since she was in shock after finding out that she had won the million.
Upon arriving at the location, the woman apologized to Diane for scratching the ticket, as they usually do together, and also for completely forgetting to buy the thermometer.
Babbin, who works as a certified nursing assistant, lives with her parents because they help each other and also because they support her in caring for her children.
“I am a single mother, so I couldn’t give my children the life they have without the help of my parents. My daughter is going to college in the fall and my son is in high school,” she declared the winner as she claimed her prize.
Regarding what they will do with the profits, the woman indicated that they have been talking about it and perhaps they will buy a house.
