“there-is-a-corpse-in-there!”,-hispanic-calls-the-police-in-new-mexico-to-confess-that-he-killed-his-landlord-15-years-ago

Burdened by the charge of conscience, a Hispanic testified 15 after he killed his landlord in New Mexico.

The Associated Press reported this week that Tony Peralta contacted police in Roswell through the 911 emergency system on May 1 to confess to the crime.

Peralta borrowed a phone to call authorities, the report details.

According to Peralta, he could no longer bear living in lies and feeling guilty. The confessed killer agreed to take investigators to the place where he had buried the body.

The cops ran into Peralta sitting on a curb not far from the store where he borrowed his cell phone.

In the images of the arrest captured by a police body camera, the Hispanic is seen sweating and smoking.

In the video that lasts for almost an hour, the man thanks the police several times for stopping him.

“I’m going to confess, man. I’m going to confess. I don’t want to live without confessing anymore, ”she later expressed to him from an interrogation room at the police station.

However, Peralta, 37, said he did not remember much of the incident, as when he called 911, he had had too much to drink.

Given the inconsistency in his statements, agents asked him if he was making up the story.

In one part of the video, it is seen when Peralta puts his head on the table and cries.

“I have no excuse,” he said. “Lots of people have one. Me, no,” she added.

The man was formally charged yesterday with first degree murder and a judge set the start of his trial for October.

“There’s a corpse in there, man!” Peralta insisted, according to the news agency report. The Hispanic was referring to the house where he lived as a tenant of William Blodgett, 69 years old.

Investigators, who obtained a search warrant, found a boot, bones and dentures under a wooden floor in a room to the side of the house.

The dentures matched Blodgett’s dental records obtained when he was reported missing in 2009.
