The camera installed on the dashboard of a vehicle captured the moment in which an apparent part of a Russian missile falls very close to a car, which was driving on a Kiev highway.
The images, which were first released by the Reuters agency, were filmed “while Russia launched its 16th attack against the Ukrainian capital” on Monday, May 29.
In the video you can see that part of the missile falls on the road right in front of the car that is recording the traffic; In moments, the car stops and shows the debris caused by the projectile, which apparently damaged the vehicle in front.
The Reuters agency reported that it was able to confirm the location as kyiv from the buildings and roads seen in the video, which match the satellite images.
Later, the agency filmed the aftermath of the incident that occurred on Monday, images with which it confirmed the day.
All the Russian missiles were shot down, but one person in the central Podil district was taken to hospital, but no major damage was reported, the agency reports.
Ukraine shot down 11 cruise and ballistic missiles fired in the second of Monday’s attacks on kyiv, said Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, commander-in-chief of the armed forces.
Russia’s main targets are usually Western arms stocks, energy facilities and government buildings, but the fact that the missiles over Kiev were shot down made it difficult to set its target on Monday, he added.
