The Dominican Pedro Martínez confessed exclusively to El Diario and told several of his greatest personal secrets and experiences throughout his successful career, including his love for medicine and how much he has liked entering the world of television. , as well as the great respect he feels for journalists.
In an interview with journalist Ricardo López Juárez, Martínez revealed that when he was young, he thought about the possibility of becoming a doctor, at a time in his life when it did not cross his mind that he would become a Major League pitcher and that he would end up being a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame.
“My passion as a student was actually medicine, but the world goes around so many times and I ended up being a baseball player, I became a pitcher and the least I imagined was that now I would be working in front of a camera and it turns out that through this platform I have managed to captivate many people and make myself known as a human being, apart from what is the uniform, fame and salaries”, said the Dominican.

On the other hand, the former MLB Boston Red Sox pitcher referred to the great turn his life has taken after finishing his career and becoming a baseball analyst for Fox Sports and CBS, where he affirms that it has occurred to know in a different way, exposing its most human side.
“I feel super grateful to God for the opportunity because in my years in the game, I never imagined that I would be in front of a camera doing what I am doing. This gives me an opportunity for people to see the honesty, integrity and confidence with which I speak.”
