Three people were killed and at least 10 more injured after missiles from Vladimir Putin’s army hit kyiv early Thursday.
Russia has repeatedly attacked Kiev with waves of drone and missile strikes since the start of the invasion, but attacks on the capital have intensified significantly over the past month as Ukraine prepares for a counteroffensive.
The Kiev city administration reported that a child was among the dead and 10 people were injured, thus adding 484 minors killed during these bombardments.
The death toll was the highest from an attack in kyiv in the past month. The attack also damaged apartment buildings, a medical clinic, a water pipe and cars, The Guardian reports today.
Earlier, the city government had said two children had died before changing the figure to one.
In the Desnianskyi district, debris fell on a children’s hospital and a nearby multi-storey building. Two schools and a police department were damaged, according to the outlet.
In another district, Dniprovskyi, a residential building was damaged by burning debris and dense smoke rose, the blast wave blew out windows, parked cars caught fire, and debris fell onto the street and courtyards.
