The considered best player in NFL history, Tom Brady, assured this Thursday that there is no possibility that he will play again in the 2023 season.
“I am sure that I will not play again. I’ve tried to make that clear and I hate to keep professing that because I’ve already told people so many times,” said Brady, who retired from football in February of this year.
This statement is due to the rumor that spread last week, and which indicated that the seven-time Super Bowl winner would return to play quarterback for the Las Vegas Raiders.
This considering that Brady is about to become a minority owner of the Raiders.
It is worth noting that the Las Vegas team hired quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo for this season, who underwent surgery to correct a foot injury. This led to the inclusion of a clause in his contract in which he accepted responsibility for the decrease in his abilities, or even for not being able to play due to the injury.
Tom Brady also confessed that he enjoys his retirement from the courts, and watching American football from the outside.
“Now that I’m no longer affiliated with any team I still have strong ties to a couple of teams, I have some friends in the Dolphins that I really like. I do not plan to return, but I support my friends so that they do well, and several of them play for Miami, ”he clarified.
Tom Brady also said that for the 2024 season he would begin to play his role as the main commentator for the Fox Sports network with which he signed a contract for the next 10 years in exchange for 375 million dollars.
The former player, who will receive a tribute in week one of the 2023 season at the New England Patriots stadium, the team with which he won six of his seven Super Bowl rings, took the opportunity to acknowledge how excited he is about that event.
