A gang of five women have been identified as suspects in a series of violent robberies in Brooklyn and Manhattan.

The New York police released their photos yesterday seeking the public’s help in locating them. The gang has attacked drivers, taking money and even an SUV, which they later used as a getaway vehicle in their other crimes. They also beat up and took money and the cell phone of a cannabis store worker who tried to prevent them from leaving with marijuana without paying, he said. Daily News.

According to records, these women first attacked at 2 am on May 21 when they confronted a 44-year-old for-hire driver parked on Ralph Ave. near Pacific St. in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

As the driver waited for his next customer, four of the women got into his Toyota RAV4, hit him repeatedly, took his keys and drove away in their truck, police said.

Less than three hours later, at 4:54 a.m. in Manhattan, another for-hire driver, a 58-year-old man parked in his Toyota sedan on E. 88th St. near First Ave. on the Upper East Side, was attacked.

Two days later, on May 24, police found the stolen RAV4 on New York Ave. in Crown Heights. But the suspects are still on the run.
