American actor Penn Badgley is in love with New York, even though he was born in Baltimore, Maryland. His relationship with the skyscraper city may come from the many years he has worked there and his characters, Joe Goldberg in ‘You’ and Daniel Humphrey in ‘Gossip Girl.’
It is not known what his plans are for when the final season ‘You’ premieres on Netflix, but it seems that the actor is interested in selling most of the properties he has in New York. This makes everyone wonder, will he want to buy something bigger and more luxurious or will he want to leave New York?
It was recently reported that his Catskills, New York farmhouse entered the real estate market at a cost of $1.7 million. Badgley is listing this property a couple of years after listing another Brooklyn home for $1.8 million.
This country home is built on a privately owned 10 acre lot. According to ‘Architectural Digest’, the current property was built in 2013, offering a contemporary style and the necessary comforts for this century.
The main house has an extension of 3,400 square feet distributed in several rooms, bathrooms, hall, living room, main room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room and other amenities.
The most attractive thing about the whole property are its details, the living room, for example, has a stone fireplace. The floors are wide plank wood and the ceilings are hand hewn beams.
On the other hand, the kitchen has a center butcher block island, cream cabinets and a farmhouse sink. The main room has its dressing room, private bathroom and all the necessary luxuries.
A great advantage is that from every room in the house you have an impressive view of the green areas outside.
Outside, the new owner will be able to enjoy long walks through the green areas. Without a doubt, the place is the perfect place to escape from the city.
