carlo-ancelotti-confirms-his-continuity-at-real-madrid-and-says-there-is-no-“doubt”-about-benzema

The Italian coach of Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti, confirmed this Saturday that he will continue to command the Spanish club in a press conference prior to the league match against Athletic Bilbao, assuring that “the honeymoon continues” with the team.

“There hasn’t been any problem with the club, quite the contrary, the relationship has improved in this period we’ve spent together. We are moving forward (…) I am very happy to continue and try to do better next season”, said the coach who led Madrid to be crowned champions of the Copa del Rey, the Club World Cup and the European Super Cup in the season that is ending.

Ancelotti, who is completing his second cycle at the Santiago Bernabéu after having managed Madrid between 2013 and 2015, also pointed out that “it has been a very long and complicated season. A lot of work has been done, we haven’t had much time and on a personal level sometimes I haven’t been able to transmit a high level of motivation”.

“We have no doubt” about Benzema

Regarding the strong rumors about the departure of French striker Karim Benzema, “Carletto” assured that “the legends of the club have to retire at Real Madrid” and that “there is no doubt” about the continuity of the striker in the White House despite the fact that “El Gato” received a million-dollar offer to play in Saudi soccer.

“Benzema is ready to play tomorrow, he has recovered very well, he has a one-year contract and here we have no doubt (…) “Reality is not the internet (…) The media are very important in our society, but you also have to handle this situation well because the new generations, if they don’t handle it well, have problems”, stated the 63-year-old technician.

Hand in hand with players like Benzema, Carlo Ancelotti adds to his record with Madrid nothing more and nothing less than two Champions League, two European Super Cup, two Club World Cup, two Copa del Rey, one League and one Spanish Super Cup.
