The Belgian attacker Eden Hazard leaves Real Madrid after the agreement reached between the player and the entity, despite the fact that the footballer had one year left on his contract with the white club.
Real Madrid, through a statement, officially announced the departure of the player who arrived from Chelsea in June 2019.
“Real Madrid and Eden Hazard have reached an agreement whereby the player is cut from the club as of June 30. Eden Hazard has been part of our club for four seasons, in which he has won eight titles: a European Cup, a Club World Cup, a European Super Cup, two Leagues, a Copa del Rey and two Spanish Super Cups”, indicates the Note issued by Real Madrid.
“Real Madrid wants to express its affection for Eden Hazard and wishes him and his entire family the best of luck in this new stage,” the entity’s statement concluded.
Hazard, 32, came to Real Madrid as a strategic signing in June 2019 after winning the Europa League with Chelsea and being chosen as the best footballer in the competition.
The Belgian international spent seven seasons at the London club, with whom he played 352 games and scored 110 goals. He signed for Real Madrid for five seasons but did not meet expectations.
The player from La Louviere, capped 126 times with the Belgian team, began his career at French Lille where he played for five seasons. Later, in the 2012-13 academic year, he was hired by Chelsea where he became one of the best players in the world.
