The departure of French striker Karim Benzema from Real Madrid was announced and now his arrival at the Saudi club Al Ittihad is taking much more force.
In fact, for the state television of Saudi Arabia, Al Ijbariya, the arrival of Benzema to the Arab league team is already a fact.
This Sunday the media reported that the team reached an “official agreement” with the player to serve in their ranks for the next two seasons.
“The president of the Al Ittihad club, Anmar al Haeli, and the vice president, Ahmad al Kaaki, have arrived in the capital Madrid to officially sign a record agreement with Benzema,” the channel said.
In addition, he clarified that Benzema will receive a million-dollar contract, and that he will join Al Ittihad as a free agent.
It is expected that in the next few hours the television station will provide more information that the team, or the player himself, confirm that version.
Real Madrid announced this Sunday that the 35-year-old Frenchman has agreed to end his time with the Merengue team.
Benzema is leaving Real Madrid, considered one of its great legends, a benchmark in a generation in the history of football that has won five Champions Leagues.
