The Brazilian Vinícius Junior regretted the end of the partnership he formed with the Frenchman Karim Benzema, who he called ‘Benzvini’ and ‘Vinzema’, thanked him for the growth he has experienced alongside his teammate and regretted his farewell to Real Madrid.
“’Benzvini’ and ‘Vinzema’… Whatever. The result has always been the same: goals, laughter, titles and, above all, learning”, Vinícius wrote on his official Twitter account along with images of fun with Benzema and title celebrations at Real Madrid.
“When the boy from São Gonçalo, too shy, arrived in Madrid in 2018, you were the first to welcome me,” said the Brazilian.
“I will never forget. I grew up with you. We won Spain, Europe and the world together. And I was able to applaud his Ballon d’Or with a lot of pride,” she added.
Vinícius asked in his message to enjoy the last day together at Real Madrid in the game against Athletic Club, which will become Real Madrid’s farewell to one of its great legends.
“We finished this ‘duo of darkness’ in real life today, but I will always have our videos as inspiration and memories of an unforgettable time.”
“Karim, we will miss you very much. THANKS FOR EVERYTHING, LEGEND! ”, Vinícius Jr. stated on his Twitter page.
