Colombian winger Juan Cuadrado will end his stay at Juventus in Turin this coming June 30 when his contract expires, ending an eight-year career with the Italian team.
The person in charge of making the announcement was the well-known journalist specialized in transfers, Fabrizio Romano, assuring that the decision was made jointly by both Cuadrado and the Juventus environment.
“Juan Cuadrado will leave Juventus as a free agent. Decision made by both the club and the player, they will separate. There are many clubs interested in signing Cuadrado, waiting for the best option,” wrote Romano.
Despite the fact that the comments indicated that Cuadrado was happy in Turin and that he would renew with Juventus, it seems that no agreement was reached so he will leave as a free agent.
In fact, a couple of weeks ago the winger and right winger had already sealed an agreement in principle with the Italians for a new renewal in statements to the Italian media, but the new refusal to extend the link is unknown.
“I am very calm and very happy at Juve. They have made me a proposal but at the moment I am not thinking about it and I have told them that we were talking after the selection. I feel at home there. I hope we can reach a good agreement and be able to continue in the elite, ”he said at the time.
It was unofficially known that Cuadrado would have offers from the fashionable soccer league, from Saudi Arabia and also from the MLS in the United States.
With his departure, Cuadrado ends a successful eight-year career in Italy’s Serie A, where he reached five league titles, four Italian Cups and two Italian Super Cups, in addition to having played in the 2016-2017 UEFA Champions League final. against Real Madrid
