The European football transfer market is still going and this time the protagonists were Bayern Munich and Tottenham. Well, recently the English club rejected a formal offer from the German team that included a transfer fee of $75 million dollars to take over the services of its goalscorer and captain Harry Kane.

The information was revealed by the newspaper The Athletic, which points out that it was the same coach Thomas Tuchel who asked the club’s board to sign the 29-year-old attacker. However, the Spurs remain firm in their decision not to let their top star go.

The London team aspires to obtain at least $110 million dollars for the transfer of the player, who was initially linked to Real Madrid, but the White team stepped aside when they learned of the high figure that Tottenham wanted.

Kane currently has a contract with Tottenham until the summer of 2024, so if a deal is not reached for his transfer this transfer window, the striker could leave completely free next year when he would be 31 years old.

Last season Kane scored 30 goals in 38 Premier League games and was surpassed only by Golden Boot winner Erling Haaland, who tallied 36 goals. He breaking the record for most goals scored in a season in the English league.

Currently in the transfer market there seems to be a shortage of strikers, so the few that are of a good level tend to be highly valued. Teams like Real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester United or Bayern Munich are looking for a guaranteed center forward for the upcoming campaign and so far they have not been able to find a “9” weight.

Names like Victor Osimhen or Kolo Muani who, in addition to having an excellent performance last season with their teams, are youngsters with a good future. However, Napoli and Frankfurt quoted their starting price at more than $100 million dollars, so the team that wants to get a good attacking center will have to pay a large amount in this market.
