This Wednesday a hearing will be held in the case against the man accused in Ohio of entering a home and raping a little girl in her room until the victim’s mother surprised him.
Jesse Hartman, 34, faces charges of rape and robbery for the events reported on June 16.
Last week, a judge imposed a $1 million bond on the suspect, who at the time of the events was on probation after being convicted in 2022 of public indecency.
On the day of the attack in Piqua, the mother of the little girl, whose age is unknown but was described as a little girl, called the 911 emergency system to alert that an unknown person was sexually abusing her daughter in the upper room of the house.
The mother went up to the room because she heard the noise of the bed moving when the minor was supposed to be sleeping.
“I have no idea how he entered my house,” said the female in the 911 call.
Local media such as the Dayton Daily News reported that Hartman fled the scene but was arrested about 12 hours later.
The WHIO report adds that the woman recounted that she ran after the pervert who escaped on a bicycle.
