Since Gabriel Soto Díaz was placed as the protagonist of soap operas, his taste for singing and dancing had to go straight to the trunk of memories.
And it is that, in 1997, after winning the Mister México contest, Soto Díaz joined the Kairo group to replace Eduardo Verástegui because he decided to develop more as an actor.
Although he had already made his debut in the telenovela “Mi querida Isabel” a year ago, it was not until 2004, when Gabriel Soto got his first leading role in the production “Mujer de madera”, where he acted alongside Edith González.
In fact, the adventure of the young singer offering presentations in Mexico and in some Latin American countries as a member of the Kairo group can be summed up in two years, since the group ceased its activity in 1999.
Although sporadically the musical group has remained in force, since the television heartthrob today decided to leave it, he had practically not met his companions either.
However, fate recently brought them face to face again, in the corridors of Televisa, where in front of a television camera they took on the task of interpreting the lyrics of “Fordóname”, one of their most successful songs by Kairo in their moment.
However, Gabriel Soto fell prey to his weak memory, since he did not remember the musical theme and even, for a few moments, he took on the task of only moving his lips without saying a single word, but he did it in such a deficient way that one take exposed it.
“I don’t even remember the lyrics anymore,” he acknowledged with a certain degree of shame.
The truth is that the ex-husband of Geraldine Bazán and current partner of the Ukrainian Irina Baeva managed to become a leading man on the screen who currently, in the melodrama “Overcome guilt”, characterizes a villain.
Throughout 21 years of appearing in television projects, Gabriel Soto has also recorded three series and two movies, as well as acting in some theater productions.
