After several years of darkness and uncertainty, finally, an Iowa family was able to see the light after winning a millionaire Powerball lottery prize after losing everything in a tornado.

Tammy Gordy and her family lost their home and belongings in a tornado that hit their town in 2001. After the tragedy, they set to work to build their house from scratch, something they have not been able to achieve in 2 decades due to lack of of money.

However, this seems to have been forgotten when he recently won $2 million in Powerball.

Tammy explained that she realized they had won a lot of money when she used the Iowa Lottery app on her cell phone last weekend to go through some tickets in her bag.

The winners indicated that they will use a large part of the prize to finish the construction of their home, to which they will now be able to fit out a large dressing room and jacuzzi.
