With 80 years on his back and after undergoing two lung transplants, José Luis Rodríguez, “El Puma” assures that he will still have a rope for a while.
Excited to return to Mexico, the Venezuelan singer announced that he will make some presentations next September.
“The first country that I visited in my international life was Mexico and if I am ever going to conclude something I would like it to be in Mexico, because I have many memories of my life in this country, my daughter Genesis was conceived here,” he said in a conference.
The new mission of “El Puma” will be to try to conquer the women who come to see him sing his hits, as well as his new songs at the Pepsi Center, on September 13 and 14.
“I am an expert in grandmothers, they are all mine, and the mothers too,” he said jokingly.
The long-lived South American interpreter returns to Mexico after five difficult years in which he first had to overcome a double transplant and then sheltered during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“My case was a very old case. I think he is unique in the world and they did not guarantee that he would sing again, but God gave me something twice as a gift, he allowed me to sing again and that is unique for me. Nobody knows what it’s like to not be able to breathe until you feel it, you can live without eating, but you can’t go without breathing for even a minute, that’s the vital energy, ”he described.
For this reason, “El Puma” will never stop thanking God and the human being who practically gave him a new life.
“I tried to look for alternative medicines and I had to start over, wasting time, the cure for this is definitely the transplant, but there aren’t enough of them. Thanks to a man who I don’t know if he is young or adult, I am here, ”he mentioned.
It should be noted that José Luis Rodríguez’s tour in Mexico will also reach Nuevo León, Quintana Roo and Guerrero.
Recently, the Venezuelan singer participated as a jury on a reality show in Argentina, where he shared this experience with fellow singer Cristian Castro.
