Last week the content of Andrés García’s will was revealed, where his last will was that his estate be divided equally between Margarita Portillo, his widow; Andrés Portillo, his stepson; Rosa María García, sister of the actor; and Andrés García Jr, eldest son of the actor.
However, the battle for the inheritance is just beginning, because during an interview given to the television program “Ventaneando”, Leonardo García, son of Andrés García, agreed that he was not satisfied with the distribution that his father allegedly dictated.
For this reason, both his mother, Sandra Vale, as well as his brother Andrés and he, will let the Palazuelos family represent them legally to challenge the will.
“Both Roberto papa and Roberto chico, they are lawyers, they are our lawyers, of course they are,” he said.
Aware that it will be a long and perhaps even exhausting process, they will first wait for the estate to be quantified to start the legal battle.
“This type of thing wears me out, I am going to support them, obviously it is my family, I got along well with my brother, with my mother, you see that I am always with her,” he said.
Leonardo also took the opportunity to clarify that the apartment allegedly inherited by his father from his mother was actually paid for by his maternal grandfather, so it should never have been taken into account as an inheritance, since it did not cost Andrés García a penny.
“That apartment belongs to my mother. He really didn’t leave it to me or my brother, because it belongs to my mom, my grandfather was the one who bought that house, that money came from my mom’s family; That they put it in my father’s name —well, that was 30 years ago—, it was their decision. At least something was done well, ”he stressed.
Given the comments made by Margarita Portillo, about the fact that, because he was born when his parents were already divorced, Andrés García had the right not to add him to his list of heirs, Leonardo indicated that he would not fall for his provocations.
“I am not going to lower myself to those levels, honestly, if she has a problem, it is her problem. She sees how she expresses herself about us. She did not have to have spoken so crudely and so ugly like that, I am at peace, life goes on, I like to be happy, happy and not get into greengrocery gossip, ”she concluded.
