Simply continue working, if there is any possibility, what is best for me and the team will be analyzed, but today my head is set on Atlas”, explained the coffee goalkeeper during a press conference held this week by the Rojinegros del Atlas.

The goalkeeper assured that he has given all his commitment to the red and black institution since his arrival in its ranks as one of the foreign reinforcements in 2019; Since then, he has become a very important part of the squad and this has allowed him to earn the interest of other teams within Liga MX and international football. However, this has never materialized and he remains within the Mexican championship.

“Since the first day I arrived, I set out in my mind to generate history in the club, to remain in golden letters and with the passage of time there is no better motivation than to remain in the history of the club, that it be my daily diet and leave beautiful things to the organization that in the end we will all be passing through, the colors and stars will remain. It is a daily motivation to be here to continue in the history of the club”, added Vargas.

Finally, Carmilo Vargas stressed that the team is already more than ready to receive the Cruz Azul Machine on Saturday at the start of the Apertura 2023 tournament; he maintained that this will serve as preparation for his participation in the Leagues Cup in which the “Zorros” hope to have great results.

“The group objectives are to search for the title. We have two tournaments ahead of us that are important to us. A new competition is coming up, the Leagues Cup, which gives a place to the Concachampions. We are motivated by these international tournaments against rivals from the United States. It is looking for the titles that we have ahead of us because in the end it is what we work for. We have two opportunities to continue marking the history of the team ”, he concluded.
