chalino-sanchez's-daughter-still-does-not-know-why-the-corrido-singer-was-murdered

On May 16, 1992, the Mexican regional singer Rosalino Sánchez Félix, popularly known as Chalino Sánchez, lost his life when he was shot while driving a truck through the streets of Culiacán, Sinaloa.

What is controversial is that the night before he had received a written message during one of his concerts, which after reading it ended up on the ground, without anyone else finding out about its content.

Since then, his family and some media believe that the so-called “King of the corridos” had been threatened with death.

More than three decades after his death, a new documentary about his life will be available on the VIX streaming platform starting this Friday.

During an interview with the “No Hay Pelo” podcast, Cynthia Sánchez Vallejo, daughter of the murdered singer, acknowledged that both she and the rest of her relatives still do not know who decided to take her father’s life and what were the reasons for such heinous incident.

Questioned about the mysterious message her father received, she limited herself to saying that no one can affirm or deny that it was a threat, since the paper never appeared after the interpreter’s show.

“I have no way of affirming: ‘He said this…’, neither my mother nor my uncles, because no one saw it except him. We can assume what appears in the video and say that probably, because of how things happened, it was a threat, but there is no certainty, ”he said.

And it is that the moment in which Chalino Sánchez receives the strange paper to immediately read its content and then throw it on the floor, it was recorded on a video, but at that moment it was thought that it was a request for a song, something very common among concertgoers.

“There is no way to argue that at one point he smiled down and his face changed. In the video you can see that he grabs it, makes it into a ball and throws it away”, said the daughter of the “King of the corridos”.

It should be noted that a few days ago, “Fantasma”, a singer of the regional Mexican genre, was given a message with a letter that made him change his mind, both him and some of his musicians who also read it.

Such an action immediately brought to mind the memory of what happened with Chalino Sánchez. However, it was not discovered what type of message it was.
