intruder-accused-of-raping-a-little-girl-in-her-home-while-her-mother-was-sleeping-was-prosecuted-three-times-for-public-indecency

The man accused of entering an Ohio home and raping a young girl while her mother slept had been charged three times with public indecency.

The Dayton Daily News reported this week that in the case involving one of the incidents in July 2021, the charge was reduced to disorderly conduct.

There are no further details about the legal course of the other two accusations.

Jesse D. Hartman, 34, was charged June 20 in Miami County Municipal Court with rape and robbery in connection with the attack on a minor four days earlier. The man pleaded not guilty and was set on $500,000 bail for each of the counts.

It is unknown if the suspect paid the established amount to be temporarily released from jail.

On the day of the events, at around 12:40 am, the victim’s mother called the 911 emergency system to report that a stranger had raped her daughter in a room in the upper part of the house, a statement indicated. of the Piqua Police Department.

The mother went up to the room because she heard the noise of the bed moving when the minor was supposed to be sleeping.

Upon discovery, the man fled the scene on a bicycle. The woman tried to stop him without success. Hartman was detained about 12 hours after he escaped.

The authorities do not rule out filing more charges against the alleged pervert.

The age of the little girl has not been disclosed; neither was her state of health.
