mike-tyson-revealed-the-reason-he-stopped-sleeping-with-his-bengal-tigers

Mike Tyson is considered one of the most iconic and controversial American boxers in the history of world boxing due to the large number of activities he demonstrated both inside and outside the ring; One of his most interesting anecdotes was that of the three tigers that he had during the 90’s and whom he loved and dedicated a great commitment to take care of them.

These exotic animals were Boris, Storm, and Kenia, whom he bred and cared for until a point in the 2000s. Tyson revealed that these pups became his property while in prison as a method of bartering for some cars; When he was released from prison, he fell in love with these tigers and began to have them as his personal pets.

“I was in jail, talking to one of my friends who I used to buy exotic cars from. He told me that a friend of his owed him money. And he told me, ‘If you don’t pay me, I’ll take some of these cars and trade them for animals.’ I asked him: ‘What kind of animals?’ and he replied: ‘Horses and other things. Mike, they also have some nice tigers and lions. If you had one of those, that would be great,’ so I asked him, ‘Why don’t you order me a pair? I’ll be out in a couple of months.’ So when I left I came home and I already had two puppies”, detailed Diario AS.

Although these animals lived in peace for many years, one of them let out his instincts in his Los Angeles mansion to jump over a neighbor’s fence and try to eat his dog; this fact started a strong dispute on the part of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty against Animals ASPCA that ended up causing the loss of these large cats.

Tyson also explained that he used to sleep with these animals in the same bed, although this tradition ended up leaving it aside due to the particular reason for the gases that they usually release at night and which, according to the boxer, are truly unbearable.

“They start farting at night, and that screws everything up, you can’t imagine that mess. You have to open the windows, oh shit. Fuck that. Also indoors. I say, “Why are you letting these motherfuckers in, Mike? You can’t get rid of them because they’re like farts and piss and bloody stains on the wall, on the floor, on the carpet, motherfuckers. So I got them their own house, and I put them in it. I bought the house next door and turned it into his house, ”he sentenced.

Currently these three Bengal tigers are living in a sanctuary that was promoted by the American boxer with the aim of protecting their lives and that they could not carry out any other act of aggression against human beings and their pets.
