The 2023 NBA draft had the particularity of having Victor Wembanyama, who for many is the rookie with the best projection since LeBron James. The 19-year-old was chosen as the first pick of the San Antonio Spurs.
For the next season there are great expectations with the pivot that measures 2.26 meters. Forbes magazine recently revealed the salary that the Frenchman will receive and the figures surprised more than one.
Wembanyama will earn $55 million over four seasons. His salary will increase season by season, this being his first season he will earn $12 million dollars, in the second $12.7 million, $13 million in the third and in his last year of this contract he will earn $16.8 million dollars.

Victor Wembanyama is called to be one of the protagonists in this upcoming NBA season. The young player already has the weight of the press on him and comments from great veterans of the league who have shown his admiration for the Frenchman.
LeBron James recently called him an “alien” and called him a “generational talent.” While Stephen Curry commented that: “he is a solid player. He is like a player of NBA 2K (video game). He’s like he’s made up of a cheat code, man. He’s a solid talent and it’s great to watch.”
