The Águilas of Club América will face the Bravos de Juárez this Friday in the expected debut of the Apertura 2023 tournament of the Liga MX to start a new championship in which they will seek to finally win the title of Aztec football champion.
Faced with this start of competition, the new technical director of the Coapa team, the Brazilian André Jardine, was focused on having the best possible performance in the midst of this adaptation process that he will have with each of the members of his squad after the departure of Fernando Ortiz.
“That they give a vote of confidence to this group, to our coaching staff, which is new and is happy to be at this club. We know the responsibility we have and I found a group with a lot of character, wanting to bring joy to the fans. That they give us a vote of confidence, things will not go perfectly from the first minute, but we know how to get there. May they be together with us, ”he expressed.
These statements were made during a press conference in which he recalled his time as a fan of Brazilian football; He stressed that during that time he lived through difficult moments and it was at that moment that he gave his club the most affection so that they could emerge as champions.
“I was a fan at one point in my life and in the most difficult moments of a club, a fan stays with the team and in difficult moments they love them. When the best days come, happiness transcends because you feel part of the conquest of the triumphs, ”he added.
André Jardine stressed that he was barely able to direct a preseason game with the Águilas del América due to the lateness of his hiring, so now he will begin to analyze the best game scheme and what will be the figures with which he can trust for Opening 2023.
“Living intensely, they were days of a lot of work, getting to know the people of the club, the players, talking a little with each one. My head works non-stop, each training session gives you information and your head begins to think about how to exploit each player, with which variant to get the best version of each one. You don’t rest much, you sleep little, but it’s a great passion, I feel that the players are living this start intensely, excited about what they can do together. We will face this tournament as the tournament of our lives, that we do not lack anything at the level of delivery and dedication, ”she analyzed.
“Honestly, I don’t feel any kind of concern, I only want to show their qualities for me, like when there is a change of coach, everyone wants to show themselves. The friendlies were important because we gave everyone minutes. Now that the tournament is starting, we have to find a consistent team to start off well. There is a very strong squad here, each one will fight for their space and the internal competition will be interesting. We want the team to succeed, to prevail; the anxiety of the first game is normal, but we are ready, well prepared. The will and the desire to succeed will not be lacking, ”he concluded.
