NEW YORK – Another teenager died while “surfing” on a public transportation system train in Queens.

The incident is the second in just over a week. The 14-year-old boy was on a 7 train carriage this Thursday, at around 5:30 pm, when he fell onto the rails near Queensboro Plaza.

The event was reported, specifically, on Queens Boulevard and 33rd Street. The boy’s identity has not been released. There is also no information on whether the minor was alone or accompanied at the time of the tragedy.

The young man was transported in critical condition to Cohen Children’s Medical Center. He was pronounced dead hours later, ABC 7 reported.

Due to the emergency, the 7 trains experienced delays in both directions.

The case comes a week after Brian Crespo died after falling from an L train traveling from Brooklyn to Manhattan.

The body of Crespo, 14, was found at the Bushwick-Aberdeen Ave.

Crespo was surfing on the train with Windinson García and they were hit by the station tunnel before the train stopped.

Garcia, of the same age, was seriously injured. His health condition is unknown.
