beyonce-and-kelly-rowland-develop-a-residential-complex-in-houston

It was recently reported that Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland have teamed up again, but this time it is not related to a music project but rather a charity project in Harris County, Houston, Texas.

Former colleagues from the Destiny’s Child group have developed a new project in the area that consists of building a residential complex with 31 apartments. These homes will be given to people who need it in the community.

In addition to housing, this complex will include support staff in different areas: administration, mental health, transportation, and more.

According to various media outlets, $8.4 million dollars are needed for the development of this project. It is said that $7.2 million dollars was provided by the American Rescue Plan, a law that was passed in 2021 in order to provide direct financial aid to Americans during covid-19. They have also obtained collaboration from other financiers and from Rice University.

At the moment there is no information about the architects involved in the development of the complex, but surely in the coming months more will be reported about the project and those involved.

You have to remember that Beyoncé was born and raised in Houston and Rowland grew up in the city, although she was born in Atlanta. They and the rest of the group have not stopped supporting the community, with the profits from the single ‘No, No, No Pt. 1’ (1998) they built a youth center and from there they have been involved in many more projects.
