christian-pulisic-seeks-a-revival-of-his-career-and-reaches-an-agreement-with-ac-milan:-chelsea-still-negotiating-the-transfer-price

After several weeks of rumors, the American striker and jewel of ‘Team USA’ Christian Pulisic, has found a way to leave Chelsea for a historic club in Europe such as AC Milan from Serie A, a team with which he that he has reached a long-term personal agreement while he waits for the teams to define a price for the transfer.

As indicated by the ESPN chain on Friday, the ’10’ of the United States team, would have accepted a substantial salary reduction to reach the ‘rossonero’ team, where he hopes to have the prominence that he has not received during his stay in the Premier League .

Said source has let it be known that the English team demands a payment of around $25 million while the Italians consider that a fair price for the player would be between $15 and $18 million.

In Chelsea’s eyes, the $25 million they are demanding isn’t a crazy number considering how inflated the market has been in recent years. Furthermore, the fact that Milan have sold Sandro Tonali to Newcastle for more than $70 million suggests that the team can afford the transfer of the American striker.

Christian Pulisic came to the ‘Blues’ in 2019 from Borussia Dortmund for more than $60 million, however, his poor performance since then has caused his market value to drop to $27 million, a figure that in business terms, it represents losses for Londoners.

Despite this, Chelsea’s intention with this sale is not to generate significant profits, but to reduce the wage bill that increased considerably after the more than $600 million spent on transfers last season.
