The garments are made from a breathable, lightweight, high-performance fabric that is made from at least 90% recycled polyester yarns. It also gives the jersey 25% more stretch and allows it to dry 28% faster, with Dri-Fit ADV technology. To achieve this result, Nike carried out tests on more than 300 ball players to determine the ideal fit.

Despite appearing in this All-Star Game, it will not be until the start of the 2024 season that this new technology and design will be implemented in all Major League Baseball franchises.
