Tiner was reportedly actively using the TikTok app on his cell phone, and was driving 68 mph in a 55 mph construction zone on Interstate 10, when his commercial truck collided with traffic that was stopped around 6:14 a.m. on January 12.

During the events, Tinner’s truck pushed two cars between other semi-trucks, as well as two other vehicles, causing the crushed cars to burst into flames, CBS 5’s 3TV reported.

However, AZDPS and FBI investigators later determined that the driver’s phone actually had use of the TikTok platform for sharing videos.

Since then, the suspect has remained in custody at the Maricopa County Jail.

When the events occurred, Tiner was driving a semi-truck for Mr. Bult’s Inc., which is an Illinois-based waste hauling company that has been involved in at least 26 accidents in Arizona in a two-year period, he said. the aforementioned medium.

MBI drivers have also received a large number of tickets in Arizona, including citations for speeding, not wearing a seat belt, and using the phone while driving.

After the accident, the wife of one of the victims, Willis Doss, declared that she was going to sue the suspect, but also the company for wrongful death.

“It’s so hard for me. I swear it’s very difficult for me,” Doss told 3TV.
