Dominican without headlines
This edition will be the first since 1996 that will not have a Dominican among the starters in the MLB All-Star Game. The closest was Vladimir Guerrero Jr. who reached the second round as the first baseman in the American League, but was outplayed by Cuban Yandy Díaz.
As for the Latinos who will be present at the meeting, there are a total of 5. The Venezuelans Ronald Acuña Jr., Orlando Arcia and Luis Arráez; the Cuban Yandy Díaz and the Cuban-Mexican Randy Arozarena. This number is lower than last season, in which 8 Latinos participated.
