with-the-traditional-heel-race-they-celebrated-lgbt+-pride-in-spain

With the aim of celebrating diversity in a curious and fun way, hundreds of members of the LGBT+ community gathered in the Chueca neighborhood, in Madrid, Spain, where the traditional heel race also took place.

The people who decided to participate in the competition to proudly express their sexual preference, in a mandatory manner, required a shoe of 15 centimeters in height.

And to go according to the occasion, during the course of the competition the assembly of two stalls was also allowed, one with bags and dresses, and the other with lipsticks, this with the purpose that whoever required it could dress up with some accessories or well until make up.

The event also included the participation of public health workers who gave themselves the task of distributing condoms and conducting HIV tests, as well as providing information on sexually transmitted diseases and how to prevent them.

During the competition, a great atmosphere of camaraderie prevailed, since those who did not participate in running did so by encouraging the competitors to reach the finish line as soon as possible and avoiding losing their balance so as not to get hurt.

Fortunately, in this edition no one ended up on the floor or with a sprain, something very common to suffer among those who wear heels that are too high.

Race organizers awarded cash prizes to the three competitors who crossed the finish line first.

In this way, the winner received 350 euros; while for the second place he was awarded 250 euros; and for the third, only 150 euros.

It should be noted that all three competitors also received an annual subscription to Tinder Gold, the popular online dating application.

And to celebrate the LGBT+ community, some free concerts were also held in the center of Madrid, which made the party last several hours until late at night, but without any excesses being reported by the authorities.
