In addition to being a living soccer legend, one of the characteristics that stands out the most in Cristiano Ronaldo is that of being a competitive beast. There are many anecdotes from his teammates, the most recent being the one shared by Welshman Gareth Bale in an interview at the BMW International Open Pro-Am golf tournament.

The former soccer player spoke with Martin Borgmeier for his YouTube channel and revealed many things, including some memories from when he was a teammate of the Portuguese star at Real Madrid, such as some “tantrums” that CR7 threw when he couldn’t score a goal.

“He was a good partner and we always had a good relationship. He was fine, although he had his moments. For example, if we won 5-0 and he didn’t score, he would come into the locker room and throw his boots like he was angry. It’s like if you win the Ryder Cup and you get angry because you haven’t scored a point,” Bale recalled.

However, Bale clarified that “Cristiano was a good person, we never had any problems.” He also assured that he thanked the team when they won the Ballons d’Or.

Along with Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo, Bale was part of the mythical “BBC”, one of the most lethal attacking tridents in the history of Real Madrid and which faced the also mythical “MSN”, the attacking trident of Real Madrid. FC Barcelona that was made up of Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez and Neymar Jr.

Bale, Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo were together for five years and lifted four Champions League, scoring a great number of 442 goals together, according to the newspaper AS. Wearing the white jacket, Bale also won four Club World Cups, three Leagues, three European Super Cups, one Copa del Rey and three Spanish Super Cups.

Bale emerged from Southampton and his great talent caught the eye of Tottenham Hotspur who signed him for $16.38 million in July 2007. After six seasons in the Premier League, Real Madrid shelled out more than $110 million in 2013 to put him together with CR7 and Karim Benzema.

The Welshman also scored a total of 106 goals in 258 appearances to become one of the most important footballers in Real Madrid’s recent history.
