interview-with-chiquibaby:-her-painful-departure-from-telemundo-and-her-successful-return-to-univision,-through-the-front-door

Chiquibaby began her career in the world of communications as a radio announcer. Her name always stood out on the Univision network for her voice, her charisma and professionalism. Her path, as expected, led her to conquer new challenges and that is how she arrived at Telemundo.

In the Hispanic network, she was the host of Un Nuevo Día and De Hoy Día, both morning shows on Telemundo. Chance of fate put a stop to her television career, despite the affection, acceptance and respect of the public. Her departure from Telemundo was felt, the fans expressed her discontent and to this day they continue to ask for her return to the small screen.

In the midst of all this, its victories and its defeats, the radio was always there. Chiquibaby is a communicator, wherever the Mexican stops she knows not only to inform but also to entertain, hence the success of her radio show. The industry recognizes her as such, Stephanie Himonidis, her real name, is also the winner of six Emmy awards for her outstanding work on television and thus is also one of the most recognized communicators and influencers in the Hispanic market in USA

Goodbye Telemundo, hello Univision

We recently spoke with Chiquibaby about the changes she has had to face in her life and how her journey has brought her back to Univision, with her “Chiquibaby Show”, where she is the presenter and executive producer. Her radio show, syndicated since 2015, currently airs coast to coast in more than 100 cities across the country, which is now also part of the Uforia Podcast Network.

In this talk, the Mexican opened up completely by acknowledging that the day Telemundo confirmed that she was no longer part of the company, she definitely cried. “Because they took me away from doing something that I loved and people noticed.”

“People realized that I loved what I did on television and having it taken away hurt me, but more than falling asleep crying I said, ok. I saw it as an opportunity… because it was an opportunity to be with my daughter,” said Chiquibaby.
