The days of the MLS pass and Inter Miami continues to demonstrate its lack of good football and the urgency they have for the arrival of Leo Messi and Sergio Busquets, and it is that this Saturday the group that is now directed by the Argentine Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino, dropped points again on the road after a 1-1 draw with Austin FC.
Although Martino was announced this week as Inter’s new coach, he witnessed the game as one more spectator, since the paperwork has not yet been finalized, so the team was led by his compatriot Javier Morales.
After seven consecutive defeats, the team owned by David Beckham finally came out of the losing streak, although it remains at the bottom of the Eastern Conference. As if this were not enough, Inter Miami has not achieved a victory since last May 13 when they beat the New England Revolution 2-1.
Since then, the Miami team has lost to Nashville (2-1), Orlando City (1-3), Montreal (1-0), the New York Red Bulls (0-1), DC United (1 -2), the New England Revolution (3-1) and the Philadelphia Union (4-1).
His game against Austin did not help him to change this very worrying dynamic either, despite the fact that he took the lead in the 47th minute with a goal from the Venezuelan Josef Martínez, who took advantage of a serious defensive mistake inside the visiting team’s area.
However, Austin did not suffer the blow and equalized just four minutes later thanks to a goal from Nick Lima with a tight shot from the edge of the area.
Inter Miami occupies the last position in the East with only 16 points after 19 games played and, curiously, recorded its first draw this season this Saturday (so far it had five wins and 13 losses).
The pink team will return to action on the 4th of July, when they will receive a tough rival like the Columbus Crew led by the Colombian Juan Camilo ‘Cucho’ Hernández and the Argentine-Armenian Argentine-Armenian Lucas Zelarayán and that this Saturday beat the New York Red Bulls 2-1.
