Paris Saint-Germain and the defender Lucas Hernandez have already signed the contract that will unite them for at least the next three seasons, as reported by the newspaper L’Equipe this Saturday.
The signing took place this Friday, once the defending world champion with France in 2018 passed the medical examination, and the amount of the transfer would be $43 million dollars, which means half of what Bayern Munich paid to the Atletico Madrid in 2019.
Hernández, 27, plays either as a left-footed central defender (his usual role at Bayern) or as a left-back, the position he traditionally occupies for the French national team.
In addition to the 2018 World Cup with Fancia, Lucas Hernández – whose brother Theo, also a left-footed defender, plays for Italian Milan – won a Champions League with Bayern in 2020, in a final won precisely against PSG.
PSG would also have closed the signings of the Spanish Marco Asensio, the Uruguayan Manuel Ugarte and the Slovakian Milan Skriniar, but has not yet made any official announcement.
The same is the case with the new coach, that all the leaks suggest that it will be the Spanish Luis Enrique Martínez, although the club has not yet announced the dismissal of its still coach, Christophe Galtier.
PSG’s return to training is scheduled for Monday, July 10, and all these news are expected to be announced before the Parisian squad meets again to start next season.
