The Colombian attacker Julián Quiñones became this Monday the main reinforcement of Club América for the upcoming 2023 Apertura Tournament of the MX League, where he will seek to contribute the goals he scored with Atlas and that led him to the two-time championship between 2021 and 2022 (Apertura and closing respectively).
Quiñones was presented in a video posted on social networks where it was also reported that the skilful winger will live in America with number 33.
“Hello Americanists, I am already an eagle. We are America,” Quiñones says in a video as he raises his fist in victory.
Quiñones is an experienced player with extensive experience in the MX League, playing for clubs such as Venados de Mazatlán, the aforementioned Atlas and the UANL Tigres.
In fact, Quiñones can boast of being one of the most star-winning players in Mexican soccer, winning not only the two-time championship with Atlas but adding two more titles with Tigres.
During his time in Mexican soccer, he has played 144 games, scored 53 goals, accumulated four league titles and three Champion of Champions.
In the middle of last June, Quiñones began the procedures to become a Mexican citizen, which will open up the possibility of playing for the Mexican national team.
América hired the Brazilian coach André Jardine, who made his debut last Friday with a 1-2 defeat at the Azteca Stadium against Juárez on the first day of the Apertura.
