A man sexually assaulted two minors while they slept in their respective homes in two separate crimes, authorities said.
Identified as 31-year-old Ernest Robinson, he allegedly woke up a 10-year-old girl as she was sleeping in her bed at a home near Boston Road and East 166th Street and rubbed his genitals against the girl’s bottom on 11 March, past midnight, officials said.
The minor was not injured after being assaulted, the New York Post reported.
Later, in the early morning hours of May 28, officers said the subject attempted to rape a 9-year-old girl as she slept in her bed in the area of Belmont Avenue and East 179th Street.
The New York Police Department has not released whether Robinson knew any of the girls prior to their crimes.
Likewise, it has not been clarified how the man could break into the rooms of the minors in the middle of the night.
New York authorities released an old stock photo of the wanted individual showing him with teardrop-shaped facial tattoos and an ink mark on his neck.
Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or, for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
