The Washington Lottery currently has 24 jackpot prizes totaling more than $1.1 million that will soon expire.
None of these prizes have been claimed and are worth $10,000 or more each.
The lottery asks players to check their lottery tickets to make sure they have not won any of these prizes.
Lottery winners have a period of 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize.
In the case of scratch cards, the winner has 180 days from the date of purchase to claim the prize money.
There are two prizes that will expire very soon. The first is a $755,000 HIT 5 game. The second prize is a $10,000 Match 4 game.
These two tickets will expire in this month of July.
A complete list of unclaimed prizes can be found on the Washington Lottery website.
The Washington Lottery stores unclaimed prizes in a reserve account each June.
Those funds are then transferred to the Washington Opportunity Pathways Account (WOPA), which uses the money to support educational programs in Washington state.
